I've been meaning to update for days

But I've been sick. Right now I'm stuck with this awful cold. At least it makes for a good excuse to drink hot chocolate. Yum yum yum.
Late last week I needed some reading for the weekend, so I meandered into After Words, a book store that sells overstocked books for cheap cheap cheap. I picked up The Neverending Story (which I've sadly never read), and nosed around for another selection.
The choice was found in the Fantasy section. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but c'mon:

How can you say "no" to cover that has Legolas with a Tommy gun?
Its title is The Last Hot Time, and it's a good urban fantasy read. The characters are well done, and while some things are glossed over (magic exists, but that's all you'll really hear about it), the novel is recommended.
I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing. It's vaguely like The Sims. I'm planning on doing a grand ole post on it, complete with TV captures from my shiny new TV capture card. Unfortunately I bought the wrong card and now I get to pay 15% restocking fee to return it. I know now that "LP" stands for "Low Profile" which means "shrinky dink dink dinky small." But no worries, a new, well-fitting card is on the way!
That reminds me, there’s a carpet sale today in Animal Crossing! I must be off to purchase fine rugs!
