The guinea piggy Fireball the Fat has partial results back from his fungal test from the vet today. The result – positive. The vet will still need another week to figure out what exactly it is and how to cure it. Hopefully the piggy will take to the cure better than the weekly shots he has to take. He really doesn’t like those.

While waiting in the lobby, a boy of about six or seven came in with his dad and a basket lined with a green blanket. He had a cream and brown colored guinea pig in the basket, but the guinea pig was resting on his side and not moving much at all. A bad bad bad sign. The boy tried to feed the piggy a bit of green pepper but the mammal just laid there. Seeing the boy petting the sick piggy and making sure he was comfy on the blanket just broke my heart. I hope the pig made it but the chances are slim. That vet is the best in the area, so in any case they’ll make things better for the little piggy.
